I can't think of a better way to begin, than they way I like to begin every meal—with a cocktail! And not just ANY cocktail, but one that can only be enjoyed seasonally. Blood oranges are readily available only a few months here in New England, so I plan to indulge as much as possible. That should leave me sober sometime around the end of March. Cheers!
Blood Orange Martini
the juice of 12 blood oranges
Measure 2 shots blood orange juice and pour into a martini shaker. Add 1/2 shot vodka, 1/2 shot triple sec and 5-6 ice cubes. Shake for 20 seconds. Pour into a martini glass and serve immediately. Repeat to make 4 cocktails.
